Focal Zone showcases in the AFS 29th Youth Assembly

We are pleased to announce that Focal Zone has been selected to showcase in the AFS 29th Youth Assembly’s Action & Impact Hub, for the UN SDG16 category.

The UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the outcomes of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, providing a blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet.

Since its creation, Focal Zone has advocated for Strong Institutions (SDG16), particularly through targets 16.6, 16.7, 16.8 and 16.b (Goal 16 | Department of Economic and Social Affairs (un.org)). Our vision was to create a culture of stewardship that encourages civic engagement and social impact. Moreover, thanks to our expanding bank of mentors, Focal Zone is covering few other SDG Goals.
